Apprentice Machine Builder – Pipefitter

Job Description:
Work with senior fabricators to build proprietary machinery based on assembly drawings, and procedures, as well as verbal instructions. The primary work procedures include, steel fabrication, pipe threading and welding, bending of pneumatic tubing.

Full Time + Overtime, 1st Shift, Onsite

$41,600 – $57,200 Annually

Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED

Required Skills & Abilities:
Even though this is an apprentice position certain basic skills and abilities are required.

  • Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to use common hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical
  • Ability to read basic production drawings/blueprints.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:
The following skills and abilities would be beneficial in filling the position.

  • Ability to effectively perform mechanical assembly operations following the details of drawings, and assembly instructions for complex mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to weld structural steel.
  • Understanding of pipefitter techniques and procedures in both threaded and welded.
  • Understanding of pneumatics and associated symbols associated symbols of components.
  • Understanding of electrical circuits and wiring.
  • Maintaining effectiveness in a changing environment, assignments, responsibilities and/or priorities.
